In conjunction with National School Choice Week, Jan. 20-26, the Institute for Quality Education is holding a video contest. Students, parents, teachers, classrooms and administrators are invited to create a video sharing their school choice story. The video should explain where they attend/teach/work, how they chose that school, and why it is the right fit for them.
Once all videos have been reviewed, three winners will be chosen and each will receive a $1,000 cash prize. In addition to this, schools will have the opportunity to earn $10 per video submission, up to $1,000, to invest in school programs.
The video must be one to two minutes long, and end with the signoff, “I am [YOUR NAME], and [YOUR SCHOOL] is my school choice.” Each video is meant to share a unique story, so it is important entrants are creative and let their personality show while still highlighting the type of school they have chosen and why it is the best learning environment for them.
The submission window is open from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15. and the contest winners will be announced during National School Choice Week.
Interested schools have the option to set up a time for an IQE team to come on-campus and help film videos. All submissions and questions should be sent to Kelly Fulton, email@example.com.
